Who We Are
Sunshine is a family run pet cemetery and funeral service that is located on the beautiful grounds of Pinetree Pet Resort in Guelph. Here at Sunshine, our focus is to not only provide services that are tailored to your wishes but, also to provide guidance and support to help ease the burden of your loss. We strive to continuously learn in order to improve our services, to be able to accommodate changes in the dynamics of human and pet relationships within the community and beyond.
Meet Our Funeral Director
Veronica is a member of the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement and holds a Pet Bereavement Specialist Certification Level 1 and a Pet Celebrant Certification (2017).

Veronica immigrated to Canada with her family in 2000, with the idea of opening a business in the pet industry. She began with pet grooming and in 2005 she, along with her husband, Carlos, acquired Pinetree Pet Resort and Sunshine Pet Cemtery. This pet cemetery has been renamed to Sunshine Pet Memorial Services. Through her work at Pinetree and Sunshine, Veronica has been actively involved in the lives of many pets and their owners. As a pet owner herself, she understands the bond we create with them as they become part of our life and family. Veronica understands that the loss of beloved pet is a heartbreaking event. She believes all pets deserve to be taken care of in a loving and dignified manner, to preserve the memories of their time living alongside us.
